Leadership
Chicago Workforce Development Group, LLC is led by Tamiya Matlock, a workforce development professional and program strategist with experience supporting students, educators, and community-based learning environments across Chicago.
Tamiya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Howard University and a Master of Business Administration from Benedictine University, bringing together expertise in public systems, organizational strategy, and workforce program development.
Her professional background includes experience in education support services, student engagement, and community-centered programming designed to strengthen access to career readiness opportunities. Through this work, she has supported initiatives that help individuals build the skills necessary to transition successfully into employment pathways.
As Founder of Chicago Workforce Development Group, Tamiya leads partnerships with agencies, nonprofits, and educational institutions to provide workforce training, program implementation, and career readiness services that meet the needs of Chicago communities.
Her work focuses on expanding equitable access to employment and strengthening workforce systems through strategic partnerships and responsive programming.
